CEO / Managing Director

Dr. Kath Giles leads OncoRes Medical, a Perth-based medtech startup focused on transforming the standard of care in breast cancer surgery. She serves as CEO, driving the company’s mission forward. In addition to her role at OncoRes, Kath holds positions as a Non-Executive Director at Sonic Healthcare and as a Director of the National Reconstruction Fund Corporation.

Before her tenure at OncoRes, Kath spent over a decade at Brandon Capital Partners, where she was a Venture Partner and Investment Manager. Prior to this, she was an Investment Manager at Stone Ridge Ventures, specializing in early-stage technology investments. Kath’s entrepreneurial journey includes founding ventures in medical apps, diagnostics, and fitness devices.

Alongside her entrepreneurial and investment achievements, Kath still practices as a medical doctor mainly working within the surgical field and has experience as a medical officer monitoring clinical trials. Before entering the commercial world, Kath spent a few years working in clinical medicine gaining a range of experience across medical and surgical specialities and critical care.

Kath Giles graduated with Honors from her medical degree (MBBS) and holds an MBA from the University of Western Australia. She is also a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and currently serves as a Director on the Curtin Commercialisation Advisory Board.
