The TMA Victoria Committee invites you to attend its annual Economic Outlook session, featuring guest speakers David Rumbens of Deloitte Access Economics and Melbourne’s Lord Mayor Sally Capp.

The team at Deloitte Access Economics recently completely work at the City of Melbourne to produce forecasts for employment and economic activity in Melbourne, accounting for the persistent impacts of COVID-19 on remote working behaviours. This report has now been released publicly and received a lot of interest from the Melbourne business community.

The session with Sally Capp will cover hot topics for Victoria, the City of Melbourne and their post-COVID & post-lockdown recovery including:

  • Economic outlook for Victoria and the Melbourne CBD
  • Challenges that the City of Melbourne is facing and its short-term and long-term recovery planning and initiatives
  • Key focus areas for Melbourne: transport and managing congestion, environmental sustainability, managing urban growth and change, and more

Please note

  • Closer to the date of the event, we will be assessing whether we can host the event in-person (as well as the live-stream). If an in-person event is possible, we will be in touch with guests to ascertain their interest and availability.
