Lessons from Legends – Inflation Primer

The WA TMA NextGen Committee invites you to join your industry colleagues at this evening event.

The session will provide attendees with a timely primer on inflation, including an explanation of inflation and its causes, RBA and Federal Government responses to inflation and expected impacts to business activity, M&A transactions and availability of capital.

Kate is a highly experienced finance lawyer with over fifteen years’ experience acting for lenders and sponsors on a range of financings, with a specific focus on project financing and transactions within the resources sector. Kate is extremely adept at client management, drawn from having advised a number of major Australian and foreign banks and funds on a variety of structured finance transactions.

Rick Newnham

Ex-Chief Economist, Chamber of Commerce and Industry

Rick was Chief Economist of the Chamber of Commerce & Industry 2017-2018, where he led the industry campaign to fix the GST – resulting in the most significant windfall to WA’s finances since the discovery of iron ore, Rick has worked around the world as an investment analyst and economist for Shell, with postings across Australia, the UK and the Middle East.

Leading the Energy and Resources team at Azure Capital, Matt has over 20 years’ experience in corporate advisory & management consulting, with a particular focus on M&A and financing transactions in the mining, oil & gas and energy sectors. Matt previously worked at Macquarie Group in London within the advisory team responsible for origination, execution and financing utility & energy asset acquisitions across Europe.
