The CBD streets are deserted and a winter chill is currently blowing through some of Melbourne’s best-known food and retail strips, with the city in the midst of the second wave lockdown.
Join Lara Wiggins from KordaMentha and CBRE’s Zelman Ainsworth as they discuss the changing retail landscape and what Zelman is seeing on the ground as a specialist in Melbourne CBD and inner city retail leasing. They will also share insights obtained from a series of online interviews Zelman has conducted with prominent hospitality, entertainment and retail operators in recent months as part of a ‘Retail Revelations’ series for CBRE.
The session will cover issues such as:
- The impact of COVID-19 on retail businesses and retail leasing activity
- The differing approaches and perspectives of landlords and tenants
- How retail businesses are navigating the current challenges
- Future expectations for the retail industry
