The TMA NextGen Committee of NSW is delighted to invite you to our Noodles with Legends event at McGrathNicol, Sydney.  The event will provide valuable insights from our experienced panellists, Jason Ireland, Kelly Morton and Lachlan Edwards. There will be an opportunity to make new connections and reconnect with friends and colleagues at this event following the panel session.

Jason Ireland
Partner, McGrathNicol

Jason Ireland is a restructuring partner at McGrathNicol and has more than two decades of experience assisting clients in operational performance, financial performance and restructuring engagements.

Jason was a non-executive director of ASX-listed Boart Longyear, the largest drilling company in the world, from 2017 to 2021 and helped steer the business through a material restructuring.  He has undertaken strategic, cash flow and financial reviews of a number of Australian businesses as well as their international subsidiaries in the Middle East, United Kingdom, the Americas, Asia and throughout Europe.

Jason is one of the liquidators of the Forum group of companies.

Kelly Morton
Founder, Skye Capital

Kelly is the Founder of Skye Capital Advisory. She is one of the most progressive and respected senior debt advisory professionals in the Australasian market, having raised ~$100bn of debt capital in Australian and international markets. Kelly is considered a market leader in developing funding solutions and providing financial advice to corporates and private equity firms, including specialist advice on business transformation strategies to effect change, drive profit and stimulate growth. Recent market leading transactions include Allegro funds acquisition of Toll, Squadran’s acquisition financing for CWP Renewables, advising on the first social loan in Australia for APM employment services and the recent acquisition of retail zoo (Boost/Betty’s burgers).

Lachlan Edwards
Co-Founder, Faraday Associates

A former president of TMA Australia, Lachlan has advised governments, boards and management teams on some of the most complex restructurings across Australia and Europe including Arrium, Atlas Iron, Elders, Timbercorp, Babcock & Brown, the restructuring of Eurotunnel PLC / SA, Vivendi Universal and most recently, Camp Australia.

Lachlan co-founded Faraday Associates in July 2018 having been at Lazard Australia for five years, where he was the Co-Head of the Corporate Advisory business. Prior to joining Lazard he was at Goldman Sachs where he was a Managing Director and Head of Restructuring (Asia-Pacific) for five years and Managing Director and Head of Restructuring (Europe) in London from 2006-2008. He joined Goldman from NM Rothschild & Sons in London having been a Managing Director and Co-Head of Restructuring (Europe) as well as Co-Head of the Corporate Debt Advisory Team (UK). Lachlan started his career at IBM Australia in marketing in Sydney.

Lachlan also serves as a Non-Executive Director on the board of Hotel Property Investments (ASX: HPI); is the Deputy Chair of the Bell Shakespeare Company; and is a Trustee on the Board of the Art Gallery of New South Wales.
