NOW International Scholarship Announcement FY23

TMA Australia, through the Houlihan Lokey – TMA Network of Women (NOW) Scholarship Program passionately champions the participation of women in turnaround and restructuring and promotes their professional growth. The partnership with Houlihan Lokey offers unique leadership and learning opportunities for women.

Houlihan Lokey-TMA NOW International Scholarship Winner

Out of 22 remarkable applications, we’re thrilled by the exceptional female talent showcased in the Houlihan Lokey-TMA International NOW Scholarship applications. The diversity was impressive, with applicants from Victoria, New South Wales, Western Australia, and Queensland, representing various sectors such as accounting firms, law firms, and beyond.

A huge congratulations to our winner, Zoe Kaesehagen (King & Wood Mallesons, Sydney)!

This global scholarship welcomed aspiring women professionals who were TMA Australia members and held positions below the partner level (or equivalent).  Applicants were assessed on their relevant work experience in turnaround and restructuring, current and anticipated future involvement in the TMA and the benefit to their career and leadership aspirations.

We extend heartfelt thanks to all applicants and their referees for investing time and effort. Your participation enriches TMA, and we encourage you to stay connected and consider reapplying next year for this incredible opportunity.

Let’s not overlook the invaluable national scholarships awarded to Brooke McCluskey (EY) and Melanie Khoo (CorCordis) awarded earlier in the year as part of the NOW Scholarship program.

A special acknowledgment to Houlihan Lokey for their pivotal role in enabling this opportunity and for championing female engagement within restructuring and turnaround work. Your leadership is instrumental in shaping a more inclusive and diverse landscape.

Here’s to celebrating achievements, fostering talent, and creating more opportunities for success!

Zoe will be travelling to TMA Globa’s Distressed Investing Conference in Las Vegas in February ’24 as part of the scholarship program.
