TMA & Allegro Funds Turnaround Case Study Competition
TMA Australia and Allegro Funds are pleased to present their annual turnaround case competition.
Participants will be provided with a real company facing challenges and requiring a turnaround. Working in a small team, you will prepare and present an investment recommendation, deal price and structure, and turnaround plan to a private equity fund’s investment committee.
Submit your own team (up to 5 participants) or enter as an individual. Please note that we can assist with allocating you to a team.
The competition represents a dynamic opportunity to build and apply turnaround skills, to network with your peers and make new connections. It’s also a chance for participants to take the lead on a pitch that usually the domain of their senior colleagues!
The winning team will be awarded a prize, and recognised at the TMA National Conference in August.
Key Dates
- Team Registrations Close: 12pm, Tuesday, 11 July
- Case Released: Wednesday, 12 July
- Presentation due: Wednesday, 19 July (presentations to be submitted via email)
- Finalists notified: Friday, 21 July
- Presentation night: Tuesday, 25 July (top teams will be selected to present)
- Winner announced: Wednesday, 16 August (during TMA National Conference)
Eligibility
- Open to professionals in the NextGen category (i.e. under 35 years of age)
- 3-5 participants per team
- At least 1 member of each team must be a member of the TMA
- Members of the teams should be from at least 2 different organisations and cross functional teams are highly encouraged

Registration Details
To register, email AllegroTMAcasecomp@allegrofunds.com.au with your team name, the names of the participants in your team as well as their job title, company and email address. No cost to enter.
